Frightsburg has been home to the Demon Lord Zaphistido for 4,000 years. It is remarkable as the site of the legendary “Battle for Sennzia” in which Zaphistido fought for the fairies of the realm against mortal invaders. A pact was made, and the deal was that in exchange for Zaphistido’s aid in that battle, he would be allowed to remain in the fairy realm forever.
These days, the ancient demon lord serves as Governor of Frightsburg under the archfey Queen Jillian Floquet. Zaphistido is Jillian’s Godfather, whom she frequently refers to as “Uncle Zaph.”
