FTC Sold to Private Investor

The Frightsburg Timber Company (FTC) has been sold to an undisclosed private investor. If this investor is the same one who purchased Free Trees Forever (FTF) last year, we may be looking at an attempted monopoly on timber in the works.
Is someone secretly buying up all sources of lumber in Sennzia Core? I asked a representative of the Treefolk Commission on Ethical Foresting (TCEF), Sir Grimson Copperbark, what he had to say about the sale. Sir Grimson confirmed that the sale was reviewed by the commission and that everything appeared to be in order. When pressed as to who the buyer was, Grimson replied “no further comment.”
Meanwhile, the cost of lumber has gone up over eleven percent in the past seven calendar months. The Yarsarian War makes foresting in the battle zone nearly impossible, but all of downcountry is still available. Imports from WendiWitch Hollow have not slowed down. Goblin compensation has also declined over the past calendar year with experienced goblin workers being sent home while lower paid laborers work double shifts.
What is causing the increased cost of lumber? Who is profiting at the expense of Damria’s poor, who cannot afford to live in the metallic towers of Salentis or the flamebaked gingerbread mansions of Froupolis? When the cost of housing exceeds the pay provided to workers, feyfolk end up living on the streets. This is not the public commonwealth.
We should not be facing mortal-realm problems. This is the realm of fey. Fey make dreams come true. It is time for Queen Jillian to make a better dream come true for everyone.
