Winnifred Lyons is the current and fifteenth president of Halmatia. She was elected on a conservative platform opposing zombie voting rights, strengthening Halmatia’s borders against illegal immigration, lowering taxes and preventing new taxes from being introduced.

President Lyons has challenged Queen Jillian on numerous matters, including the Queen’s petition to mine silver along their shared border. Lyons has proven to be a strong and capable leader, and Halmatia is thriving under her direction. Even many liberal ghouls approve of her effectiveness, though some choose not to admit it.

President Lyons is midway through her first 6-year term and will be eligible for re-election in 3 years. It is not yet known who her opposition will be, but many expect Governor Flint Shadowall to put himself on the ballot.

President Lyons is rarely seen by the Halmatian people and spends much of her time in her office, reviewing legislature sent to her by the Senate, scrycasting with Sennzia’s rulers and writing letters or otherwise communing with Halmatia’s allies across The ManyRealms.

As Halmatia’s first woman president, Lyons is an icon among ghoul women, and not just for her executive authority. Lyons’ preservation regimen is closely followed by many, and involves regular latex rubber applications to her face, wrists and neck. Her eyes are both glass replicas and she is suspected to also wear body-sculpting undergarments. The president is displeased by the amount of attention paid to her appearance, but uses it to her advantage at every opportunity.

President Lyons believes in taking the things you don’t like and making them work for you. She applies this tactic particularly well to Halmatia’s enemies.
