Tarek Bladewhistle

Tarek Bladewhistle is an Ectember elf who plays up his vampiric appearance, especially while serving in his role as Ambassador to Halmatia. Tarek spends about half of his time in Liberot and the other half in Yarsar, making a big show of his importance as Ambassador.

Despite his lofty title, Tarek serves primarily as a courier of messages between King Ulmond and President Lyons. Tarek engages in very little actual diplomacy, and in fact he is quite terrible at it. The only reason he was chosen by King Ulmond for the role was to please Archbishop of the Thartican Church, Yuannim Hallthunder.

Tarek Bladewhistle converted to the Thartican Church many decades ago, and has helped the Archbishop reach out to the Ectember people and Yarsarian nobility. He feels that the church’s traditions and explanations of the Aether very closely align with the more loosely organized Aetherian faith of the Ectember people. The Thartican Church, however, offers a more definitive and certain structure with a much stronger focus on hope for the future.
