Queen Jillian is a fairy confiseur with metallic gold skin and bee-like wings. Her defining characteristic is a love of sweets beyond all rhyme or reason. Literally, it is impossible to rhyme in her presence, or to reason. Anyone anywhere in her direct presence is enthralled and unable to think clearly. Entertainers cannot sing songs effectively. They stammer and say the wrong words, always failing to rhyme.

Jillian’s royal gown is typically made of candy and covered in gumdrops. In public, she typically wears a golden crown, sometimes dripping with honey, usually over a black licorice wig fashioned in short curls. She is always surrounded by a swarm of bees which obey her every command. Indeed, bees of any realm automatically obey her every command, superseding the orders of even their own queen. Jillian always carries one of a variety of magical candy scepters, whichever best accompanies her gown.

Powers

As an archfey, Queen Jillian holds power far beyond the scope of nearly any mortal being. Queen Jillian controls where fairy doors open unto, which doors lead back into the realm, and she can close them with but a thought. Her golden skin is said to be nearly indestructible, and she is assumed to be immune to all poison and disease. She also does not age, or hasn’t appeared to, and is alleged to be over three thousand years old.

Perhaps most notoriously, however, is the Queen’s control over the land and air. Jillian’s will and emotional state have have far-reaching affects on the land itself and its weather. They say that if the Queen is mildly irritated by something, storms are sure to follow. If she becomes vexed, an earthquake may occur. If the Queen becomes truly irate, well… best never to let that happen.

Serving the Queen an endless supply of sweets and desserts is a straightforward solution to keeping her happy. The citizens of Sennzia discovered this strategy a long, long time ago and it works as well today as it did then. As a result, the culture of Froupolis and Sennzia itself has developed into a realm consumed with inventing ever more elaborate and delicious desserts.
