280 Elves Slain in Dragon Attack

The monolithic black dragon that has been called “Treerot” by Yarsarian military has made his third attack this year on skyfortresses along the Yarsarian/Greenway border. 280 elves were slain in the attack. The victims have yet to be identified due to the catastrophic effects of the dragon’s eldritch blasts. As the Yarsarian war with the Greenway dragons enters its sixth decade, the elven death toll has now reached 22,451.
King Ulmond Ehrenfell has promised that with the recent deployment of a sixth Wersian Skyfortress, however, he will bring the dragons to heel.
In a solemn address he made in Yarsar in response to the attacks, King Ulmond mourned the loss of more brave elven heroes. He closed his statements with a vow to end the reign of terror brought on by the forest dragon Balkinitros, whose name allegedly translates to “Lord of All Trees.â King Ulmond expressed his disappointment with Queen Jillian Floquet of Sennzia for not intervening in the war to defend elven lives. He criticized Sennzia’s policy of “allowing dragons to run amok.”
Queen Jillian could not be reached for comment, but Marshal Darvion Senz, a high-ranking official in the Queen’s security forces did make a statement on the matter. “It is a matter of public record that Queen Jillian has an unbreakable contract with dragonkind that has been mutually beneficial for all of fairykind across The ManyRealms for half a century now. While the loss of elven life is tragic, and our hearts go out to all those affected by this war, the Queendom simply cannot be involved in King Ulmond’s personal vendetta against Balkinitros.”
While the loss of elven life approaches 23,000, no dragon-caused fairy deaths have taken place within Sennzia in the entirety of its 6,000 years of recorded history.
